Injectable Weight Loss Clinic
Have you thought about weight loss injections but you’d like the guidance of a specialist Doctor who can help you through the safest course with maximum support and results?
We offer the injectable weight loss programme with two of our highly qualified doctors.
Dr Zara Mufti is based at our Bournemouth Clinic and Dr Lucy Freeman is at our Ashley Cross clinic in Poole.
Both doctors have a wealth of experience and are passionate in supporting their patients through the injectable weight loss journey in the safest and most supported way.
Our comprehensive weight loss course
The doctor led course is designed to ensure you are starting the medication in the safest way whilst also having the advice and support of a doctor to guide you through the journey. The two types of medication available are Mounjaro and Wegovy. The doctor will decide with you which is the most suitable.
The medication is in an injection pen which is administered once a week. The doctor can administer the first injection for you and then you can carry out the next ones at home. Each pen holds 4 doses. The weight loss programme is made up of the following elements:
Initial blood tests
Blood test £72 plus a £40 phlebotomy appointment fee
It is important to carry out some essential blood tests to ensure that it is safe to start the course of injections. The tests are also a good way to monitor if the injections are having a positive impact on your health.
Initial face to face appointment
40-minute initial appointment - £186
The doctor will carry out a thorough physical assessment and discuss the injection medication with you. The assessment will consist of the following:
• BMI Calculation
• Body fat, visceral fat, muscle mass composition
• Diet discussion, personalised calorie intake recommendations and outcome goals
• Physical examination as a baseline before starting medication
The results of the above will be recorded and this will be used as the benchmark to monitor your weight loss journey.
The doctor will then have time to answer any questions you may have and also to show you how to use your medication pen.
Monthly follow-up apointments
10 - minute face to face follow-up appointments - £47
The doctor will check that you are tolerating the medication well and will do a quick physical check to ensure there are no side effects. You can then decide with the doctor whether to increase the dosage of medication. Your body calculations will be taken at each appointment to provide a progress report.
Once you have stopped increasing your dosage of medication, you can have a 3 month maintenance supply before seeing the doctor again for a check up.
You can contact us at any time if you have any concerns or questions between your appointments. Our admin team are available Monday to Friday 8.30am till 5.45pm.
Injectable medication pens
The Mounjaro medication pens range from £169 to £325
The Wegovy medication pens range from £99 to £236
The dosage can be increased every 4 weeks until you reach a dose that works effectively for you. You will be given the appropriate injection pen at every 4 weekly appointment. Please note, there is a maximum dose which cannot be exceeded, but most people see results before or at this dose.
